Croatia (Hrvatska, HR) is located at the south-east of Europe, between Orient and Occident, and dominates the major part of the East coast of the Adriatic.

It is a country that benefits from centuries from various cultures, traditions and religions of this part of the world.

The industry is well developed, especially in the north / north-eastern, in the fertile valleys. In the large cities of the coast, such as Rijeka or Split are there famous shipyards.

However the principal activity of the country is the tourism. It provides to most of the population its income.

Zuljana is located in the south of the coast, on the peninsula of Peljesac (see the red point on the map). A detailled map is available or look the ViaMichelin itinerary

The village is presented in a golf, surrounded by hills going down abruptly into the sea, which explains the splits. It is surrounded by famous vineyards and by plantations of olive-trees. It is also an interesting starting point for excursions.

The 200 people of the village live mainly of tourism, agriculture, fishing and vine growing.
They are very accessible; they to speak about their tradition and their village, of course in Croatian, but the majority converse in English, and German or sometimes in French and in Czech.
